If you are working through the data needed in the CA Agile Central ALM OnDemand is Running Slowly page, you may have experienced one or more of the following results:
Below is an example of an unsuccessful ping:
Below is an example of an unsuccessful tracert:
We recommend the following courses of action for this resolution:
- Configure your Windows DNS Server to use your local ISP's DNS server. The best way to properly resolve this issue is to keep your DNS server settings to resolve internal DNS through the corporate HQ DNS servers, and resolve non-internal DNS directly ISP's DNS servers of the remote offices.
- If you are not using SSO, you can access CA Agile Central from us1.rallydev.com. See CA Agile Central IP Addresses and CDN Networks for more information.
- Configure your local machine to use Google's public DNS servers.
- Remove DNS Server configurations altogether and rely on Root Servers. This is the slowest option.
Doing this will move everyone to using local CloudFlare edge servers for rally1.rallydev.com within 10 minutes.
Verify this by entering nslookup rally1.rallydev.com into a Command Prompt or Terminal window and compare that with the output from Global DNS Propagation Checker - What's My DNS?.
The IP addresses should look the same as your local entry and pings should be less that 20–30 ms.
